Taking Butterfield Country Club to the
next level of proper plant health - be it turf,
flowers, or trees, we at Butterfield knew it
was time to turn to a true leader in soil
science.
On the recommendation of a fellow Superintendent,
that Dirt~n~Turf Consulting, Inc. and especially
David Marquardt would be a great fit for Butterfield
Country club and myself, we contracted Dirt~n~Turf
to do extensive soil testing for us to determine
our soil deficiencies and plant needs. David
Marquardt's extreme knowledge in turf and
ornamentals along with the world leader in soil
testing, Brookside Laboratories, is putting us on the
right track for success.
David Marquardt being an Independent Consulting
Agronomist sure helps in the fact that he's not
selling a product or his product, this is just
straightforward sound advice and proper soil
testing. Advice from chemical and especially
fertilizer salesmen is very common practice. Their
soil testing is most always geared toward the product
they sell and not always the proper practice of where
and what really needs to be applied. This puts a
whole new perspective on fertilizing, not only for
turf, but for proper tree health also.
David Marquardt's 20 some years of experience in
Horticulture, Turf, and Agriculture is unparalleled.
His hard work and dedication to clients is unmatched.
I know we are all on tight budgets and at
first I was a little skeptical on expenses
from proper soil testing and especially what
corrections and recommendations were going
to cost. After spending a great deal of
time with Mr. Marquardt, the money we
are going to spend to correct our soil
is going to be well spent and still within
the means of our budget. In the long run
we know we are going to save a great
deal of money on fertilizer, chemicals,
and water once proper plant health
is in place.
I owe a great deal to David
Marquardt as he has extended my knowledge
on soil chemistry through proper practices
and advice. I advise all to do the same and
sit down with David to see for yourself the
benefits you will reap.
